Several names mentioned for top job at central bank

Several names have been mentioned as potential candidates for a new central bank governor over the recent days as the deadline to submit applications expires on Monday.

About 874,600 persons in employment in June 2018 – an increase on the monthly and annual level

In June 2018 the number of persons in employment increased by 0.3% (to around 874,600) over May 2018, while the number of persons in employment increased by 2.9% over June 2017. In the first six months of 2018 there were 3.4% more persons in employment over the same period of the previous year.

Key economic data include: US existing and new home sales, durable goods orders and flash Markit PMIs; UK CBI factory orders and UK Finance mortgage approvals; Eurozone flash Markit PMIs and consumer confidence; and Japan inflation rate and flash Nikkei Manufacturing PMI.

Czech companies expect 2,000 workers from Serbia annually from September

The Czech Chamber of Commerce and their companies expect the first workers from Serbia to arrive under the program of a facilitated procedure of the employment of foreign workers on September 1. This program of the government and the Czech Chamber of Commerce would bring around 2,000 people from Serbia a year to work at Czech companies which have trouble finding workers.
