Telekom Slovenije, dd, became the 100% owner of IPKO Telecommunications LLC

Telekom Slovenije, dd, became the 100% owner of Kosovo’s telecommunication company IPKO Telecommunications LLC. IPKO Telecommunications LLC, is the leading broadband provider in the Kosovo market and the second largest provider of mobile telephony.

Japanese exports rose Nikkei

Better than the expected data for Japanese exports helped Japan stock index Nikkei 225 to rise 1,97 percent. This might signal that Japan markets are out of correction.

Volkswagen recorded a 10% sales growth in January

At the start of the year, the German car manufacturer Volkswagn is optimistic about year-round operations. In January, the company delivered almost 900,000 cars for commercial purposes, which is 10.1 percent more than in January last year.

BELEX remains in red

Shortened trading week brought additional weekly drop for BELEX indices. BELEX15 lost 0.74%, pressed by NIS, Belgrade Airport and Energoprojekt, while BELEXline was down 0.52% w/w. Total trade volume arrived at EUR 649ths, including bonds. This was the third week in a row of declining trend at BSE.

The most traded stock of last week of NIS (NIIS)

The most traded stock was NIS (NIIS), since it delivered RSD 9m in weekly volume. The stock was down 1.1% w/w. We expect the company inform the public about it earnings date soon.

Galenika Fitofarmacija (FITO) and Metalac (MTLC) gained a little last week

Galenika Fitofarmacija (FITO) saw RSD 5.2m in volume, while its stock price was up only minor 0.07% w/w. Metalac (MTLC) was up 0.74% w/w, while it delivered RSD 4.8m in volume. We saw no any reports from these two companies.

Energoprojekt’s (ENHL) trend seems to continue

Energoprojekt (ENHL) remains in a downtrend path, since it lost additional 2.4% w/w. The stock delivered RSD 4.2m in volume, while downtrend is actual starting from November 2017.

Belgrade Airport (AERO) lost 4.6% w/w, moving lower from stabilization level at RSD 1,800 per share

The company is about to undertake limited share issue, to boost its capital with non-cash items. Namely, state owned land near the airport is about to be transferred into the company and this is the major reason for additional shares. The company is about to issue 120,521 of new shares which will be state owned. Minorities are not considered. Overall, this will result only in a minor hike in overall state ownership at the company (83.2% vs. earlier 83.1%). This should be all approved at incoming EGM, scheduled for 9th March 2018.
